He sent her to get something on some backwater planet because he wasn’t so inclined to go get it himself. :P

Anyway, whew! Super tired over here. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes here at Zap! and I can’t really talk about it yet, but it wears me out all the same. Some good stuff on the horizon. I’m really hopeful for 2010!

In my life news, those of you who follow my twitter or my tumblr already know, but I finally got a dog. Really, I think she sort of got me. Someone left her tied to the bumper of my brother’s truck and I was sort of fostering her while trying to find her a place to live, and she was just so great I had to keep her. Her name is Lucy and she’s a boxer.
And, whoever got me that Deviantart subscription back in December, THANK YOU! That was very nice of you. I’ll try to make it up to you by drawing pleasant things.

Death Storm

Just sos you know, the NWA has forecasted a level 4 ice storm for Tulsa County (WHERE I LIVE! OOOH NOOOO!). A Level 4 ice storm means lots of thick ice all over everything and generally widespread power outages. So, if I suddenly disappear from the Internet and there’s no comic on Monday, it’s because Oklahoma has been plunged into a primordial, powerless ice age and I’m hunkered down, shivering, someplace. Wish me luck. Think warm thoughts.

Squid Status

So, here is the update that I received this morning on our little squid:

We will start production right away, we will send you pictures of preliminary sculpt in about two weeks when it is done.

There’s no way it could have happened without you guys! Your collected awesomeness just blows me away. Stay tuned to this spot for squid updates. I’ll keep you posted with the information I hear from Patch Together on production progress.
