Artist Editions Now Shipping!
The artist edition books finally got here and I’ve started drawing in them and putting them in the mail! Thanks so much to everyone who ordered for being super patient while we waited on the delayed books. You guys are amazing! Needless to say, I’m a little backlogged with these bad boys at the moment, but I will be pouring over them over the next few weeks to make sure that everyone gets a nice drawing. Thanks again to all of you who ordered one. Some of your requests are pretty great. :3 I will do my best to make it worth the wait!
If you want to get in on the artist edition books you can order yours in the store. They come with a drawing of up to two characters and of course my signature. Also, generally a note of some sort. That’s just how I roll.

Stuff this week!
First stuff! TOMOPOP did a review of our Billy the Squid toy. I’m totally flattered! Check it out, and pick up a squid already! They are great. I worked really hard on those silly squids and I’m super proud of how they turned out.
Second stuff! I dumped a bunch of sketches and illustrations on my blog over the weekend. Check it out! Art art art!

Sorry, everyone.Β At least I gave you a freebie last week, that is if you’re perceptive and also read the news items. I SOOOOOOO sneaky. >:)
Anyway, over the last couple of weeks I’ve had a number of Zaplings tell me they would really prefer if Zap! updated more than once a week. Me too. I would like that very much, but it is not something that can just magically happen. Each page takes around ten hours (or more) to make, and I have a day job on top of managing the comic! So, if you really love the comic and you want to see more of it, put your money where your mouth is and tell your friends so that we can grow the comic and readership and get me doing this thing as a day job.
And PLEASE don’t post a million excuse comments about why you can’t support the comic financially or whatever, whatever. It’s fine! I am not mad at you or anyone. Nobody needs to apologize, I’m not offended and this isn’t an artists tirade.Β Really, I’m just trying to explain the situation.
I don’t want anyone to feel like they owe me anything. Zap! will always be free online. I just feel like once-in-awhile when the schedule is brought up repeatedly I need to address the actual reason why you don’t get three fresh and shiny pages each week. It’s not because I’m a lazy jerk, it’s because I’m a working jerk.
