“Everything is just shattered. What happened?”
“Oh, I got hit with a Stickle hammer.”
(pause) “There’s nothing that can be done for you…”
Vanillagregory
or, you know, he could just re-set the shattered pieces of the bone and go get a splint for her arm or something. or giver her a cast. you know, like a normal person would probably do.
Smerc
suddenly, without warning, gunner psyonically snaps naveed’s arm back into one piece.
naveed screams, shattering all glass in the office and grabs gunner to brace herself.
unfortunately naveed was too shocked to control her reflexes and has left gunner with a rather large second anus.

Gunner is eviiiiillll but at the same time it makes him really well..Nom noms ahah. He’s got the bad boy thing down. And I like his facial expression at the end, it actually seems to show some sign or care/worry, but then it can also look like one of those faces when you think ‘Idiot got her arm shattered -_-‘ “

I disagree. I’m a manipulator, but I’m not cruel; I’m very devoted to my friends. The ability to discern when and why they’re less-than-optimal, and then say and do just enough to make them feel better regardless of what life has thrown at them tends to be a helpful skill, rather than a hurtful one.
I suppose the primary difference is the lack of an ulterior motive.

Not to mention, thrombocytes have built up on many points of the internal injury/bone portions by now as well as bone splinters been absorbed away onto the blood stream/plasma, id est you’re missing material of bone so you can’t ‘complete the puzzle’ as to re-build the bone by just simply piecing it back together again.
But, as said, this is fanboy argumentation. Science-fiction is just that, fiction. There’s no reason to argue about it with rational, since it is imaginary. No matter how much you attempt to back it up with currently in-development theories and postulating-logic, in the end it is still all fictitious and devoid of supporting fact.
So, lets just sit back and enjoy the comic. :)
We’ll leave the sci-fi “fact” arguments to the fanboys.

It would make more sense if the page was called “Doctor Stryfe,” because real doctors are addressed by their last name. Then again, everyone usually forgets everyone’s last names.
I guess it could depend on if you have a different accent. Where I’m from “Doctor” is commonly pronounced “Doct-ur” and “Gunner” sounds like “Gun-nur,” so they both get that ending “ur” sound.
Also, it’s not uncommon (in my experience, anyway) to refer to doctors with whom you are personally familiar by title and first name, rather than last; i.e. “Doctor Dave” rather than “Doctor Smith” (at least in public). This conveys the familiarity and affection/friendliness/whatever associated with a first-name reference, while retaining the respect inherent in a title such as “Doctor”.
This applies here, because I don’t think there’s any doubt about how “familiar” Naveed is with Doctor Gunner.
At least it was not the *other* massive fanfiction sin – a Mary Sue of herself dating one of the main characters, mysteriously related to someone, lets say “Gunner’s sister dating Zap but Gunner gets jealous – hi-jinxs ensue!”
I’d actually put money on the fact that something like that exists somewhere already. Don’t google your characters! haha
That’s hilarious! You’d think they’d give you some credit, like a link to the comic and “here’s where we got the names” at the very least …
;)
Astralfury
I figure if they are not going to give credit to ripping off locations from Lord of the Rings, Pascalle has no chance.
Besides I doubt I’d want my name on that kind of rubbish – it’s not *that* hard to think up your own characters, shamelessly pulling from multiple sources is just pathetic.
Aw, I don’t think there’s anything malicious behind using the names. They are just playing a game for fun and combining different things that they like.

I just love the discussions that erupt here haha. Sorta glad i delayed in reading through, only three days till next page.
chuckled at the interesting new ad (dunno if its new. If it’s not i hide behind my noob rights). ‘If you can’t handle the heat leave the solar system’ Double meanings make for Win. The picture is great too ;)

If I SWEAR on pain of … Gunner hunting me down and killing me painfully that I would stay true to your characters, would you let me write a fanfic? I always make a point to stay true to the originals. If you don’t believe me, here’s my Fanfiction account so you can see for yourself… http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3270224/AngelicAlchemist93
P.S. I promise not to make anything strange happen. I’d wait until the story is finished so that I don’t go off on crazy theories, and try to come up with some short story that’s believable
It’s interesting how Gunners actions leading up to this just speak volumes about how important Naveed is to him. Now, whether he sees her as just a tool, or a nice piece of fluff who can handle business is something we’ve yet to see.
Oh, my goodness! You don’t have to ask me to make fanfiction, fanart or anything! Have a blast! That’s all part of getting to enjoy a series and I’m totally flattered by every fan effort that comes forward!

I will now list two shows that magicly mend

Naveed didn’t stop during hammer time. She tried to touch this. She paid the price.

Not a player of D&D or MMORPGs are you? When you see “Need Healing monk for mission” the ten thousandth time, you’ll start to believe in the fiction of telekinetic healing. Either that, or you’ll start to believe that a Healing monk is a fictional build.
Speedy Marsh
Telekinetic healing would be like rubbing sticks together to make fire, compared to telepathically reading the billions of neurons in near infinite patterns in each persons unique brain and being able to know, much less influence what they are thinking.
I just think, “Cool powers”, and roll with it.
Ori Klein
Way to necromance.
I had to read the entire thread to even have a clue what you’re replying to.
Actually, I do play DnD/MMOs.
Monks’ ability to heal are considered divine intervention or magic, not an implementation of telekinesis.
As for the myth of a Healing Monk vis a vis Fighter Monk build, nice pun.
