I'm so glad the avatar is active now. That pathetic robot can now be left behind somewhere rotten

    Hey, swords don't jam.

  • OctoDude

    Or require reloading.

  • Great Justice

I suppose neither do directed energy weapons.

  • OctoDude

Arguably, directed energy weapons would need either recharging or a replacement of a power cell at some point, which would be essentially the same as “reloading.”  Then again, I never saw that happen in Star Wars….  Maybe it’s “Space Magic”?

  • Negatron

Why it is obviously “THE FORCE”

  • Negatron

…which I suppose is the same as “Space Magic”

  • Negatron

    Sorry, no such luck =)

According to the EGWT (Essential Guide to Weapons and Technology) and NEGWT (New EGWT), an average blaster pistol power cell is good for around 500 normal shots.  Han Solo’s heavily (and illegally) modified DL-44 fires higher-power bolts, reducing its capacity to 40 shots.  Given this, they could easily reload when they’re talking behind cover.  Or even when standing out in the open, given the accuracy of those stormtroopers.

has anyone else notice the control area looks like the ship in the first star wars movie?

  • I preferred the robot before he became morbidly obese.

  • John Smith

Wait, do you mean “A New Hope” or “The Phantom Menace”?
