*happy and sad crying in distance* (happy, because of the wonderful end, sad that the comic’s now over)

Been reading since…whoo…um…*looks at archive*…comic 18, or so? Anyway, thanks for providing such a great comic all these years. Looking forward to the new comic!

And now, the end is here
And so we face the final curtain
My friends, we’ll say it clear
We’ll state our case, of which we’re certain
We’ve lived a life that’s full
We’ve traveled each and every space-way
And more, much more than this
You did it your way
Regrets, we’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
You did what you had to do
And saw it through without exemption
You planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
You did it your way
We’ve loved, we’ve laughed and cried
We’ve had our fill, our share of losing
And now, as tears subside
We find it all so amusing
To think you did all that
And may we say – not in a shy way
Thank you both for this wonderful tale
You did it your way
(With apologies to Frank Sinatra)
To Chris and Pascalle: Thank you, thank you, thank you. I wish you as much success in your next endeavour(s) as you have had with ‘Zap!’

Pascalle, Chris, its been a long ride. I started reading when I was 14, back in the early days, back when the art was cringe inducing, and the story seemed to be directionless, and you had the domain/title of Zapinspace xD. But over the years, I watched the comic develop, and become something great. I’ve read through it many times now, and I have tried never to miss an update, even when downrange. It is bittersweet to see the end, but all things must eventually end. Thank you for the incredible story, with all its ups and downs. I look forward to seeing your next project, and fully expect it to be as out standing as Zap! was.

I started reading your comic in 2011. It’s inspired me in so many ways and to finally be able to finish make me so excited to see your next comic. To see the evolution of your drawing skills grow and change so uniquely gives me hope that I can be this good one day
What I really liked about all this, was that you kept to a plan and gave the story a proper finish, instead of dragging it out until it died. All my fav comics have ended proper like this. It’s a rare thing, and as sad as it is to see it done, but I rather it end on a great high note like this. Well done. :)

Wow what an ending blast. Well done. Both of you deserve applause! Well done! One of my favorite web comics ever!
Razule
Sad to see this end but you did it in an excellent way. It’s been a very enjoyable comic to read.
p.s. I’d have found a way to kill you if Zap had perma-died
p.p.s. Just kidding

Wow… I can’t believe… This is the end. It’s a beautiful end. And a satisfying one. And now I’m choked up and misty-eyed.
Thank you. Thank you for such a wonderful story. <3

I hate endings, especially when they are good ones. Picked this up a long time ago as a light read and have never put it down. Now that it’s over I’m probably going to go through the complete archives and re read this from start to finish. I truly enjoyed the world you created and the characters that inhabited it.
Thank you for a marvelous story, and sharing it with everyone who took the time out to read it.
I look forward to your new work and any more you have in the future.
Chris Tognetti
Pascalle, I just wanted to say that having read Zap from start to finish, It is an amazing story. One I’ll be reading again later providing you keep this site up. I look forward to reading your new comic as well!

Michael would have loved the end of this comic. I loved it too. Thank you.
Resonance
I absolutely love this comic. It is one of my favourites and I will definitely be reading it again…and again. It’s one of them that I will read over.
Yes! But I had to wait for the site to stop crashing to find it & tell you :b
Page 313, Zap loses his shiznit and does not like being laughed at. <3 Love him!
It was so far into the story but also feels so very long ago!!
Hey Pascalle and Chris! I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this whole wonderful story that I’ve enjoyed for nearly the comic’s entire run. I’m not sure, but I believe I found your comic way back while I was reading RPG World religiously, and I instantly recognized your art, Pascalle, back then as being inspired by Ian Jones-Quartey. Later on, after Ian had ended his comic prematurely, which absolutely broke my heart, we chatted a bit, and you mentioned that it was RPG World in part that inspired you to get into webcomics. I am so glad it did, because I’m so thankful to have enjoyed this lovely narrative and your gorgeous artwork for all these years. Although it sucked when RPG World died, and even though Zap! is all your own, it always felt like the spirit of that comic lived on in Zap! (BTW, I still have on my computer that fan art you made of Cherry and Hero under the tree and it remains one of my favorite pieces of artwork ever.)
But even beyond inspiration, you two crafted an epic story with stunning visuals that have exceeded all expectations, and captured my heart with every one of your characters. I will miss every one of them, but they were given a wonderful ending that they richly deserved. I will continue on over to enjoy many more years of your work on Wilde Life. I love you guys so much, and if I ever get a chance to meet you (ever heading to Animazement in NC?), please accept all my hugs. And my money for future Zap! books.
Nico
Just finished reading it…I love you people! I cried at the ending!
Senny
That was a looooooong ride. Congrats on all your years of work!
Ozzien
I’ve only been reading for about a year, but that’s still enough time to fall in love <3 Thank you guys for a great story and a great ending!!!
Korgus
Thank you for a great story. Couldn’t have hoped for a better ending. Now to start reading it over from the beginning :)
BeckQ
I remember I found this comic right when Reona found Zap in his dreamscape on that island, and it’s been a roller coaster of Feels ever since then! Thank you so much for the great ride!
samuraieagle
I only found your comic a few months ago, but I enjoyed it immensely. thank you for the fun.
Andrew W
My one and only disappointment: Reona never got to hit anything with her upgraded arm cannon.
Other than that, wow, what a ride – thanks Chris and Pascalle!
Thank you so much for writing this. I kind of liked the original art (it had a bigger than life sci-fi look to it, and bold colors), but I also liked the art as it evolved too. I’ll be reading your other stuff as well. Keep up the good work!
Justin James
A beautiful ending to a truly awesome comic. Thank you for all the hard work! I’ve loved every page of this comic, and it will hold a place in my heart. Again, thank you to the incredible talents behind Zap!
Well our online store only goes to US. I suppose we could mail you some books but the shipping will just be more. Send me an email and we could work something out.
I just think there was some typos on numbering. I’m pretty sure all the pages are there…. Pretty sure. Anyway, thank you for your kind words and for enjoying all the hard work.
Thanks for making time to comment. We love to hear it. And thanks for mentioning Gunner. I’m a big believer in the best villains are ones you can sympathize with.
Thank you for your kind words. I’m so happy our crew made such a huge impact for you too. I’ve had so many stories with these guys in my head I will miss them too. Its too bad I draw so poorly. Lol
Thanks so much. I agree that the comic has always flowed better when not having to wait every week, especially earlier on. Now we don’t have to explain that to newer readers they can just read it all. Its a weird feeling.
