There appears to be something hitting my fan.

  • Dun dun DUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!

  • Andrew W

Shit. Zap did you just send Reona *towards* Gunner?

  • Andrew W

Also, interesting facial expression on Naveed. She looks hurt. Like she knows on some level that she’s been used, and also that it won’t end well for her.

  • WOOOOPS

  • safyrejet

Something about Naveed in that red robe. Makes me think her real name must be something like Darth Kitty. Someone upgrade her sword to a lightsaber.

ETA: Dang, I keep giving myself ideas for Zap! fanart when I know I have no time to make it. *sigh*

  • Speedy Marsh

    What big teeth you have.

  • Astralfury

“Reona will totally be safe on the ship that has been gunner’s goal all along” duuuuuuh.

  • Astralfury

Explains the ease of getting through the blockade actually.

  • Ori Klein

    EVERYONE IS GONNA DIE! HAHAHA

Okay, I’m being a bit of a jerk.
    :(

  • Crestlinger

‘Your Gunner is in another castle.’

  • Darkoneko Hellsing

    Nope.

  • LinuxTheKid

You are so in the dog house now Zap.

  • Huehue

Hopefully Zap goes all psychic on Naveed. I want to see some *Schloops* while she just disintigrates. She has lived long enough.

  • bitch!

  • She knows she’s not strong enough to fight him.

  • Ya know… if Gunner attacks the ship, I really hope Reona gets mauled. That outta teach Zap a lesson about ditching your girl for a cliche “I have to do this alone” fight. :)

  • Sure! Women are expendable lesson engines for male character development, anyway!

  • cheops

Did I hear Darth Kitty prequel trilogy? That would be awesome.

  • Seems to be one possible way this story is pointing. I was really ticked that Zap sent her off like that. No confidence that she could help him in the fight? Reona only traveled half the galaxy, fought Gunner and Naveed before, helped blow up a lost ship…

  • It was pretty lame of him! He figured he’d barge right in there, take care of Gunner and then return back to Excelsior.

But it didn’t work out that way, looks like!

  • safyrejet

But wouldn’t that be another cliche “bad things happened because by trying to avoid your clichedestiny you actually enforced your own clichedestiny” thing? I think that’s all getting a little too cliche, don’tcha think?

  • safyrejet

Actually, I kinda appreciate how the characters in this story aren’t “perfect”. Their flaws and mistakes contribute to making them more believable. I think it’s too easy to make the hero of a story into some perfect Mary Sue, but that really doesn’t make for a truly good story.

  • Reona still has a psychic shield and no one remembers it even though she’s used it multiple times. She’s not a sitting duck! Zap’s just too overprotective.

At the same time, he went through an awful lot to find her and he could never forgive himself if something happened to her during the fight.

  • I think there’s enough ‘perfect hero escapist adventures’ type stories for people who are into that kind of fiction.

  • LisYaj

dang. you beat me to the punch.

but, sometime…there really is no telling what could happen, you know? chances are, he probably didn’t want to lose her.

afterall, you DID do that one script where he looked for all the possible timeline where he could spend time with her…chances are, he AND YOU, yes you, Pascalle, that he might actually end up dying…who know til you finish this story.

  • LisYaj

Dat face…almost like she was hoping to fight Reona…

Also, it look like she knew…from the beginning…she was being used…both by Gunner AND Zap…

  • I DO KNOW.

It’s all finished on my harddrive waiting. WAITING.

  • LisYaj

great…now i’m tempt to steal that to read ahead of these ppl…can’t wait til monday now…

  • Speedy Marsh

*hacks hard drive to change ending*

  • Speedy Marsh

    Darn that butterfly effect!

Zap might have seen the most likely futures, but even he couldn’t see all of the infinite possible futures.

  • Speedy Marsh

So, why exactly is Naveed here?

Is she here to give Gunner unwanted help? To stop him before he gets himself killed? To kill him for dumping her?

Will she fight Zap, knowing that it will get her killed? Will she join him, on the condition that Zap spares Gunner’s life?

Is she distracting Zap, no matter the cost, while Gunner takes Excelsior?

Tune in Monday. Same Zap time. Same Zap channel.

  • THEY MIGHT!

  • Speedy Marsh

Someone has to save the ship, while Zap is on a wild goose kitty chase.

  • safyrejet

    We’re waiting too….

    “I hate wait.”

  • YOU WON’T HAVE TO WAIT MUCH LONGER!

    *cryptic comments yes*

  • Waiting is indeed the hardest part! :)

  • LisYaj

    dang. i didn’t think of that myself…

  • Sario528

Please tell me you have multiple back ups of that hard drive

  • SyntheticPhylum

I don’t think SHE even knows what she’s doing there, honestly. Poor kitty’s GOT to be quite conflicted right now… And quite heartbroken.

  • JasonAW3

I wouldn’t mind chasing that kitty in other circumstances, as long as she didn’t try to eviscerate me, that is…

  • JasonAW3

Hah! Little did anyone know that this whole adventure has been a tuse to keep humanity distracted while another, unseen xenophobic replace snuck in and caused the sun to go supernova, vaporizing the entire star system. The End. poof!
