“But I couldn’t make it search for survivors of my home, so I made it search for all psychics. That didn’t turn out to be such a great idea.”
I guess. where was this comment when Gunner explained how it worked forever ago??

I just have an RSS reader, a Disquis account, an an urge to write my understanding of the page so that you correct me on it. :D

Wow. Well, that explains some things about certain people, but I am a little concerned that Ephraim wasn’t mentioned in the previous page. Plenty of Zap and Gunner montage, but what was Ephraim doing? I distinctly remember something about Ephraim having a stronger empathic ability then the other two, that being his main ability. IF that is the case, I could only assume that being a living weapon would do some serious psychological damage. I mean, empaths, unless sufficiently shielded, feel the pain of those around them. Stick them in a battlefield and they are pretty much on fire. Unless Ephraim is just a transmitter not a receiver as well. Either way, how come we get to know what Gunner and Zap are up to but not Ephraim? Surprising as it may be, I really like the guy.
Also, are those three really the last survivors? So sad if true.

Aww.. I like Zap in his goggles. Is it just me, or has he grown taller over time?

Clever that the dream has her cyber arm hid, that would have been one Hell of a giveaway.

I really dont’t like Reonas clunky boot-thingies. But damn, Pascalle. When you draw her in a dress.. Bloody magnificent!
Jorge L. Carreras Jr.
She may have still had a flesh arm when he dreamed about her. That would have made her a bit harder to find.
I think there’s a few others around who would love to have a tool to find the man or woman of their dreams. You found your lady now share Zap. Share!

We’ve already seen that even as kids on the not yet destroyed homeworld, Efrem was kinda the mopey third wheel. He’s only important when the plot calls for him. Wow, you know I’d almost actually feel sorry for him if he hadn’t been gone for that whole manipulate empathy with Reona and get with your friend’s dream girl before you tell him about her thing.

Perhaps Zap is viewing a scene even further in the future. It doesn’t take a Stickle to create a cybernetic arm that just looks normal (though one is probably required to make one that both looks normal and acts as artillery).

“There are 93,263,571,840,341 intelligent lifeforms in the universe”
Gunner kills everyone who he thinks has wronged him.
“There is 1 intelligent lifeform in the universe”
Gunner realizes he has wronged himself.
“There are 0 intelligent lifeforms in the universe”
“There are 0 intelligent lifeforms in the universe”
… ad infinitum, till the heat death of the universe.
Speedy Marsh
Maybe he did share. He named the matchmaking AI “Harmony”. Then he added the “e” prefix, since she’s electronic. Finally, he added “.com” for her website.
(He just needs to add the Barbie or Ken doll hologram version of everyone’s perfect match.)

For years, Gunner dreamed of a happy future with a lolcat. He never realized that Zap and Efrem were punking his dreams.

Ah yes….
“Love is patient and kind,”
“Love is not Jealous. It does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked.”
“It does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth.”
“It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
“Love NEVER fails.”
You know how big the universe is? I don’t care how good the search function of that hologirl is, it can’t detect all of the universe. Maybe the galaxy, the local supercluster tops.

Yeah, well considering I relate to Ephraims Unpopular Status Just hanging on in a desperate attempt at friendship that doesn’t seem to appreciate you….well let’s just say I find Ephraim to be a bit more relatable then zap at the moment. Granted, there is no excuse for empathic manipulation, but if Ephraim is as emotionally slighted as I think he is I can see why he felt it would be the only way he could get anyone to trust him, let alone like him. Still, there is no excuse for sleeping with her. Did he accidentally fall for her himself?
Either way, I still wish I could have more insight into his psychology. I especially would like to know what he went through during That time. While personally wouldn’t have done everything that Ephraim did, I can say that he and I are.a lot alike. That is the reason I care. Feelings of inadequacy and depression are never fun and if they get bad enough it may.cause someone to do things they wouldn’t normally do in certain situations. The question here, though, is WHY did Ephraim do what he did in the first place?

Super quote. I love that chapter. I keep it.bookmarked.because it reminds me of my gramma. It’s so perfect for this page.
HAPPY FUTURE WITH A LOLCAT!
HAHA. Comment of the week!

Thiiiis big **stretches out arms**
I’m thinking there has to be space folding and probably self replication involved. Just imagine, a network of cute holograms spreading exponentially throughout the universe. (And we thought Skynet was scary ;)
Of course, Gunner would need an efficient method of doing away with sentient lifeforms, like dropping a black hole in the center of a planet.

Where’s the tape?

I will not beg for a Thursday update.

I for a Thursday update beg will not.
I KNOW WHAT’S GOING?! We’ve been speculating differently all this time and then other stuff happens. ;P

I know I recognized the mega man but I never quite put it into words. Thanks. Now I know what seemed so familiar about Reona all this time. ^_^
stealth
Sorry. I don’t know why I spelled it the normal way. I’ll take that as a “it’s not important enough to address’ answer and stew in my juices.
Speedy Marsh
I… I can be patient. Honest. I know this kind of perfection takes time. It’s just, the better y’all get at this, the more emotionally invested we get in the characters, and the harder it gets to wait.
Luckily, I’m still reading through the archives of Looking for Group, so I at least have something to keep me busy till Monday.
I don’t need a webcomics intervention. I can quit reading anytime I want… As long as there aren’t any new updates… And, as long as I don’t find another top quality comic…
(Someone should take the second panel of this comic and change the text to, “I can stop reading webcomics whenever I want!” That would make a great smartphone wallpaper.)
safyrejet
Ugh, I know that. The “next comic” button is my mortal weakness, Arch-nemesis of my well laid plans for the day/night.

Just you. He’s always been that much taller than Reona. She’s TINY!
