Score! Wonder what would happen if I tried that line on a girl.

Uh Oh, we can see obvious sparks! One dangerous burning spark for Efrem, another more dangerous heart burning for Mr. Officer!!! Hey! she lives as a pirate!
Yarrrr!!
it seems Holly be eye’in some booty.
she be after his heart ta make’im the captain o’her little flyin dutchman.
she be want’in him ta dig where Y marks the spot.
Holly be need’in his longtom ta fire through her porthole.
she be want’in him ta bake her pie.
she be need’in a new cabin boy ta open her clam.
…i guess what we be sayin er is that she be desiring a call from him for her booty or possibly the area in proximity to said booty.

Really, I think this page shows exactly how much Justin is out of the loop of what’s REALLY going on. To him, Will is the villain and Efrem is this big hero…when we all know Will is innocent (or the mind and soul are, the body is more…questionable), and Efrem is the shady one.
safyrejet
Angry Reona is angry. I’m a little curious who is the “he” Efrem is referring to.
Last two panels. I just squeed. Holly, girl you’re stealing the scene and maybe even the cute boy toy. This William/Holly thing. Oh I think I would like that.

Not the worse conversation starter I’ve seen

Really? Outside of a movie, really? Ouch.

Holly’s face says:
Common ground achieved via awkwardness!

Perhaps Efrem was assuming that Zap would kill Gunner when he regained his memories and his free will.
SpringLoaded12
“where Y marks the spot”… hoo boy.
Shadow, you’re alright.
Psiberkiwi
Well, ‘Merc, I can definitely say I’ve heard many different ways of ‘getting it on’, but those are all new to me. Congrats! :)
He really had no idea that Efrem would be there. Despite having everything explained to him by Reona and co and knowing Efrem wasn’t on the level, Justin and Efrem were really close pals before everything went down, so it’s only natural for Justin to react to Efrem suddenly returning.
Yeah I’m also bothered at why Zap left Gunner alone. Should’ve at least captured him for a good final discussion not leave him with his army intact and stuff.
chrisbrady
Or a hot guy. ESPECIALLY if not a hot guy. Usually leads to spending time with the local constabulary if not careful.
chrisbrady
Ah love, that spark between two people you hope doesn’t turn into a fire that destroys them both.
chrisbrady
He’s like, “Uh, where’s the exit? WHERE’S THE EXIT! This ship’s full of CRAZY PEOPLE!”
Commence Justin/Efrem shipping!
(Not my thing, but I’m sure someone will take that ball & run with it … )
;-)

Not to discount the well-earned eye daggers Reona is giving Eferm, but the douche has a valid point. Gunner has not lost his powers with a haircut and his army is unconscious right now, but he’s still with them. So far the only good thing is the government’s leadership is dead, but the plucky rebels are no where close to take charge. And what happened to those Elementals? One died, did the rest leave Gunner?
I hope re-memoried Zap has got more to his plan or is really good at improvisation now.
safyrejet
That would be my primary guess. I mean no one can reasonably have expected William to stop Gunner. So it logically comes down to Zap, or Efrem’s babbling.
I don’t know if Efrem was trying to make a point so much as being totally bummed that Zap didn’t follow through.
Kindra Coates
Well in being bummed, Efrem the douche makes a valid point. Unless Zap is right this second screwing a mind-helmet on Gunner (which isn’t his style so I don’t think it’s happening), Gunner’s doomed to repeat this whole fiasco at a later date. And he’s been humiliated so plan on it being worse the next time around.
But I’m still okay with it if Reona slaps him silly for all his douche behavior towards her.
svartalf
Ah… We find out that Zap HAD been chessmastering it all. But it seems he left things un-finished at what shoudl’ve been the endgame.
Yeah, my thought is Zap is maybe too nice and optimistically hopeful to outright kill Gunner. I mean they were friends, best friends it seems. I imagine it would be hard to kill your best friend even if they proved themselves to be a psycho killer sicko who totally deserves it. Zap’s playing a mercy card, hoping Gunner won’t do what he knows Gunner will do. Merciful, but stupid. He obviously hasn’t seen enough murder mystery thriller horror slasher films to know you always have to kill the bad guy and like cut off their head or burn their body or something to be sure they’ll stay dead.
chrisbrady
…You have an… odd definition of ‘adorable’.
bleh
Well, William totally freak, so that’s gotta count for something. ;p
Astralfury
It’s like Holly watched the mock dating advice vids Lepas shared on twitter and went “YES! THAT’S WHAT I NEED TO DO!”. I’m more impressed by the fact that it seemed to work.
there just seems to be very little shipping in the zap fandom, at least that makes its way back to me! I wonder why?
willow_kidd
Nobody said awkward and adorable had to be mutually exclusive of one another. In fact, I’d qualify most of my attempts at flirting as awkward and adorable. It’s all part of my slightly off-putting charm.
Zap never watched Ender’s Game. He doesn’t know you have to kill the queen…
Uh… hmm…
Those who don’t learn from Ender’s Game are likely to have to repeat it…
Zap messed up so bad that he’s failed to prevent Gunner from going on an ender?
The Ender doesn’t justify the means??
Well, I think I at least beat up that analogy so bad that it’ll never have to be repeated.
Speedy Marsh
Holly was just checking to make sure he’s not normal. She wouldn’t like normal.
He’s thinking, “Emotionally damaged and NOT stabbing me, that I can probably deal with”
stealth
Ouch! Efram s in biiiiiiiiiiig trouble with Reona right now. Things are defineitly gonna be complicated. Funny though, she was all like ‘Efram, omg!’ when she saw him spiked, now tht he’s okay she’s all ‘Answers. Now’. Lol,
Of course, Efram is a little concerned about alot of different things right now, only one of which is dealing with giving Reona answers.
Last two panels: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! I see his interest! I see it and I don’t like it! Holly already has two guys on her plate already why does she want a third!?!??!?! (grumblegrumblegripegripe)
Oh, well. I suppose I can deal with it.
svartalf
I don’t think he’ll be working in the GEF much anymore…
