I gotta give props to Naveed. She knows her goose is cooked. She can’t kill William with glowy floaty uncrowned Zap right over her shoulder (and Reona). But gosh darn it that kitty is still gonna try! She’s crazy, really, but she owns her crazy. It’s all or nothing.

Last panel guy, hah, I love his face. Seriously don’t argue with floating psychics. That’s a lesson Naveed obviously hasn’t learned.

I read it more as a “what is happening all the laws of nature and physics are being broken before my eyes” sorta face than an “aw, I’m sad I don’t get to die a horrible painful death” sorta face. You gotta admit, there’s a lot that’s been thrown at this guy in the brief time he’s been released from Gunner’s puppetry. It’s been months for us, but in the story line it’s been what, a few hours, if that.

I didn’t realize “NNNNGGG” was a verb. Is it like “SMURF?!” Poor Naveed. She’s not just wet, she’s now in a psychic washing machine! Spin Cycle!

He is definitly out of touch with his emmotions right now. They’re displaced soemwhere, keeping him on his feet while not panicking. A sign of a good soldier. Partially shtting down in order to stay alive.
Now that Zap has Naveed, what is he gonna do with her? No chance of a prisoner exchange, Gunner will most likely shoot her in the heart before he let’s that happen. Hmmm…..

Huh, Zap seems even more powerful here than I thought he’d be on shedding the amnesiac doofus persona… or is it because he created those visors (if memory serves) that he’d know how to pull a killswitch type scenario on the wearers?
I mean otherwise, rendering a psychic army unconscious seems like it’d require a lot of juice.

And don’t forget to turn the stove off.

I think it could be partly because he basically invented the crowns so he knows how they work. But mostly I think it’s just showing how friggin’ powerful fully unleashed Zap really is. Gunner knows it too.
