601 | Honey, I’m Home

Those darn pirates!

This weekend wore me out! You guys think of whatever witty thing I would say here and post it to the comments.

    So sad?

  • I drank too much wine at your house…

  • I recognize that jacket…

  • safyrejet

I’m no good at witty. Sorry. That green skinned floppy eared guy is such a grump. I mean Kasey and Grontar did help get the stolen stuff back.

I love that 3rd panel. Leave it to pirates to find the explody stuff.

  • Anonymous

That last panel is so lonely. This is her apartment I take it? Which means that the jacket hanging on the wall there belongs to Efreem.

This chapter is slowly ripping my heart out with its low key, melancholy atmosphere.

  • Kasey in panel 5 is really cute.

  • As is the custom.

  • Just wait…

  • sunphoenix

Yes. Sad scene… our plucky, pretty, red-head needs a through ravishing! Everyone else has someone waiting for them except our heroine.

  • glasshouse

Actualy I’m pretty sure that explosion is supposed to be a metaphoric pathetic fallacy to illustrate how Kasey and Grontar have completely dropped the ball, or the bomb as it were by letting the pirates escape. And that the explosion is significant because it illustrates the sudden realisation of a mutual failure on both parts to fufill the simple task….I’m talking nonsense aren’t I…….

  • Nope, you’re totally correct. It is not a real explosion.

  • safyrejet

that actually makes me a little sad. I’ll just pretend I didn’t read this and go on believing it’s a real explosion.

  • there are only 2 character’s to wear that jacket and i remember something a couple weeks back about a “if you like pages involving Zap you’ll love..” So SOMETHING makes me think that jacket does NOT belong to Efrem. (Im an observant Whovian it’s in my nature to point thing out like this)

  • Kasey set her sights on a non-mech target. Nice.

  • D.H.

    Honey is her dog, right?

  • noisyparker

I figured honey was a tasty food that she has in a charming bear-shaped container, which she has been looking forward to enjoying again. She will probably be dismayed to find it has hardened during her absence, but it can be softened with warmth, and perhaps she will come to see this as a valuable life lesson, if [mis]applied more generally to relations with others!

Woah, quite some time i don’t check the comic (2 years maybe?) need to read everything again, forgot most part, seems like it will be a thrill…By the way i have no idea where they are xD

  • Yeah, you need to get caught up! A lot of stuff has happened!

  • Drake

I didn’t expect to you to reply so fast….

  • Sometimes I am online!

  • Drake

now that it has come to my mind, ever thought about a chat for the comic? like an IRC channel or somethin’

  • you know how much potentially reveal with the words “just wait” that only furthers my theory on the jacket belonging to Zap. It’s almost as bad as saying “Spoilers” when someone nails it or “no comment” for that matter.

  • MDude

I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t actually stop her jealously/paranoia issues with robo-women, but at least Robot might catch a break.

  • Speedy Marsh

    Grontar is pIRATE!

  • Speedy Marsh

If that is Zap’s coat (and the story sure seems to be setting things up for that), then he’s about to get punched, kicked, slapped, hugged, kissed, or all the above.
Unless, of course, both Zap and Efrem are there, waiting to say “Surprise!” in which case, there will be an incredibly awkward moment, followed by both Zap and Efrem being beaten to a bloody pulp.

  • Kitirena Koneko

Well, Grontar DOES have a big heart… of course, he’d have to, considering how much blood it would have to pump to keep all four of his arms working right. -_^

  • Kitirena Koneko

Spill the wine, get that webcomic?

  • I know this was a few years ago, but the wine comment was because we had a bunch of wine to make our Kickstarter video.

  • Kitirena Koneko

    Ah, that makes sense. I was making a reference to the song “Spill the Wine” by War, but I guess it was a little too obscure… {shrug}
