Well, things are getting pretty serious.

edit: typos fixed.

  • whoa! i’m kind of scared. like if billings was soft (apparently blew up entire planets full of cool sentient beings)…now they’re going to declare war on the “rebels.”? i don’t think i want to see “hard.”

  • Anonymous

Uh oh…looks like not-so-fun times ahead for our ever lovable crew.

  • Nickolia

    sh*! just got real

  • Aravilui

Well, I’m going to be ‘that person’. It’s declaration, not decleration.

However… I agree. If Billings was soft, I’m rather afraid to see the opposite.

  • Negatron

Indeed it did, and having gotten real it is now going down. Upon getting down it will then promptly hit the fan. This will give it the potential to develop into a veritable sh!tstorm.

  • soft on the rebels doesnt mean soft in general. the rebellion formed in response to the forced annexes and destruction. Billings wasnt exactly ignoring the rebels, but max and feonix are going for a power play here. the accuracy of their statements may be in question anyway.

  • DeColuvj

    Ohhhh, I remember these guys!!

  • Menardis

Excrement just collided with the rotating air refresher!

  • Guest

    Spellcheck?

  • Kaian

And thus begins the new recruiting drive for the rebellion.

  • Anonymous

Oh yes, galaxy, this is a face you can *trust*…

  • he seemed much more likeable in earlier appearances…

  • Primekage

Hey, remember when this was a comedy?

  •  Ooops! I’ll fix it tonight. Thanks for pointing it out!

  • Wingnut

Interesting to note that he seems to be talking to an empty room here.

  • Nickolia

You have established that your erudition is estimable, eloquently emphasizing the eventual excrement storm that shall ensue with this expression of extermination and execution due to the earthling president’s expiration.

  • Psionicost

When hunting rodents, check your OWN house first.

    Strangely, he’s not doing that.

  •  SYMBOLISM!!

  • Ramification

IDK, somehow it is lackluster for me.
    Colour me the odd ball.

    Also, Hi Guile, LTNS!

I still have a bit of a problem with this “Earthlings” thing.
The GEF or galactic empire or whatever-it-was is comprised of multiple different races serving throughout.
You even have a what-its-called standing right there next to you.
Yet “humans” are still the sole center of attention…eh?

  •  “Galactic Earthling” does not mean human, it means a citizen of the GEF.

  • Safyrejet

That shiny metal eye.  I want to poke at it.  *poke*

Also after a childhood of Saturday morning Looney Toons, I can’t read “This means war” in anything except a Bugs Bunny voice.  And I always put an “of course you know” in front of it.

  • Guest

It’s been transmitting across the galaxy, that’s more people than they could fit in that room anyways.

    [galacticdictator]
we are the center of the universe here at the Galactic Earth Federation”
we have strived to perfect a more safe and secure society with earth at
it’s core, but made up of many worlds and species!!

we shall not sit back and allow those who would threaten our power
grab…err, our efforts to rule the galaxy…um,..we have nothing but
    your best interests at heart!!

we shall not cease until all citizens of the “Galactic Earth Federation”
are under our complete control with a galactic fun buck in one hand and a copy of ‘galactic G-strings monthly’ in the other!!
    [/galacticdictator]

Rami, dont make me pull out the slides, graphs, laser pointers and powerpoint display.

Yeah. Like “blowing-up-planet” soft… I be scared to see “hard” too!

  • Anonymous

Still looks like he can grow flower on his head-lawn though.

  • Hey where’d Feonix disappear to in panel three onward?

  • Trashbandit

Wash: This comic strip is about to get pretty interesting!
    Captain Malcom Reynolds: Define interesting
Wash: Oh God, Oh God, they’re all going to die?

  • In combination with your avatar there, this comment is hilarious.  I just imagine someone jumping up in glee and cheerfully proclaiming “SYMBOLISM!” at the top of their lungs.

  • Exquisite!

    ;)

  •  While you’re at it, I think you’re missing a “will” in the second panel, second speech bubble:

“Rest assured that we [will] find the rebels responsible and they will be executed.”

(I suppose you could mix it up with a “shall” there instead, but I think that would be a little overly pretentious for the general’s speech patterns.)

    ;)

  •  SHAME ON ME!

    UGH! SORRY.

I fixed it and am terrible.

  • theo fisher

A Firefly reference, or do my eyes deceive me?

  • Nazpharoz

if that is soft, then destroying a star will be hard?

  • Anonymous

Only if there are at last two inhabited planets. Destroying rocks doesn’t count.

  • Gillsing

But “decleration” is still there, in the last speech balloon. It thought itself safe, hidden in the shadow of the missing “will”. But that “will” was there when I came to rest my eyes upon the page! So there was no place to hide.

  • So really, the government’s stance on the rebellion is the same, just they’re now advertising it on TV.

  • Nazpharoz

but. but.. I’m sure they like destroying rocks

  • Mason Matlock

Is that a Film Brain reference I spy?

  • Anonymous

Of cource the do! Everyone likes that! But unles there civilisation living on those rocks…

  •  Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!

  •  If you’re going to make a power-grab, better just make it all the way.

  • It certainly works in real life!

  • I think George W. did the same thing.  Declaring war on terrorism is like declaring war on hunger it’s just an empty broad load of BS to say that “the ends justify the means.”  *_*

  •  Billings wasn’t really soft. The generals are just using this as an opportunity to “crack down” and seize more power.

  •  Too many speech bubbles. No point in drawing it.

  • Trashbandit

     Haha! Nice pick up Pascalle!

In hind sight, maybe those 2 should have walked on stage and said, ‘Let’s be bad guys’ while unzipping their jackets – reveling large guns! (By the by, it might have made a good/ pun title for this strip!).

Oh well, I guess our favourite band of misfits will be fine in their spaceship. Unless their primary bumper panel falls off. For no gorram reason at all!

  • Ah I thought s/he snuck off for some covert reason. Guess not then :)

  •  Tractans (Feonix Yago’s race) are asexual.
