That’s all for volume 5, my friends! Check back on Thursday for the cover to volume 6!

I hope this page helps put all the pieces together. How upset do you think Gunner will be when he finds out he was already on one of the ships he is looking for?

Wow. I forgot that was Robot’s name. ^^

  • A couple of little pieces have just fallen into place.

    Bring on volume 6. :o

(oh noes, I’m commenting for the first time ever.)

I probably need to read through it a couple times to fully understand this whole story with the lost ones and the Aquarians, because I don’t. All I get is that Zap was there and helped the Aquarians before his memory wipe, and I do not remember who the lost ones are. I’m not that good at piecing a story together. :/

  • well it can be hard to piece it all together when you have to string several years of information together. I say its a great time to reread the archives. But, to answer your question, the “Lost Ones” havent been explained yet.

  • Cromell

Pfeh! That was too easy! She should say “I have a behavioral blockade that prevents me from answering to this question. All and any inquiries regarding classified data will be responded with hostility. What else would you like to know, XR-743-9Q?”

But, I guess, it would kill the mood, so… great strip, keep it up :D

  • Why wouldn’t Gunner know? Or, I guess I should be asking, Why wouldn’t Efrem tell him?

  • This ship has the best interface in the history of Sci-fi.

  •  The Andromeda interface wasn’t too bad either, though …

    ;)

  • If it helps, here is where Robot heard of the Lost Ones:

I thought the Satellites were the Lost Ones. But then, probably not…

You guys are really good at putting stuff into each storyline that leaves room for more storylines. Only one or two early stories left no loose ends to be handled later, and back then more storylines to come was assumed because the comic had only just gotten started. Bravo with the writing, and as always, bravo with the art  :]

  •  Wow, Chris, looks like you finally got some of the love we so often lavish only on Calle!

    ;)

  • Shepard would like a word with you ‘Sparkles’ :P

I wish my computer had a nude hologram interface.

  • Oh yes, nearly like a second first place… or first placed second…?

  •  Actually, it sounds like you’ve about got it. There’s a couple little points missing that I think you would catch with a re-read.

Obviously, not everything has been revealed yet, but everything is sort of there if you know what to look for. :)

  • Why indeed? What is that Efrem up to? Gunner’s already a little suspicious of him: http://www.zapcomic.com/2005/05/20090705/

  • Someday.

  • Now that is what I call one Amazing Cliffhanger. I think the story is just about to turn up a notch. Brilliant paneling on this one!

  • I still wanna know who Daedelus’s captain is/was.

  • Gillsing

Yeah, I’m a bit surprised that Gunner apparently doesn’t know about Excelsior’s nature. I thought he knew everything, because he grew up with Zap and they did everything together. But I guess maybe they didn’t?

Assuming that both Zap and Gunner are “lost ones”, I suppose it’s possible that they got split up in the escape, and Zap created sentient ships to search for other lost ones. And then decided that searching for lost ones was too dangerous, either for those lost ones, or for the rest of the world. Maybe it was finding (or being found by) Gunner that made Zap realise that danger?

  • Sousho

I thought that Daedelus’s captain was Zap. After all, he was the one who communed with the Aquarians, and guess where the ship was?

  • Thanks Jazyl!

  • aww. we don’t get any further elaboration! who are the Lost Ones! inquiring minds want to know!
