I actually added Reona saying “Efrem?” because I knew a lot of people would have forgotten Efrem’s last name, since it is only mentioned a handful of times in the comic. It is pretty important for people to know that Efrem turned off Excelsior’s hologram, particularly given what just happened on Aquaria.

Spent the last few days reading through the archive. I am definitely going to be a regular reader (or “Zapling” if you will) from now on. I love the way the plot progressed from a simple comedy (simple as in not very deep–initially it came across as more of a laugh-at-the-idiot/sitcom-type of thing, but with the character backgrounds being revealed (more or less), I guess that’s what made it thicken) to what it is now, and the art is absolutely amazing. Keep it up!
I’m not critiquing anything, just struggling to find the right words.
Fun fact: I have Gunner’s hair (sort of). All I need is to tidy it up, add a few more inches and dye it. The thing that would make it work really well is that I’m also a dude. I might actually do it, but if I tried I’d probably look like a scene poser.

As I recall, Zap (before memory loss) actually designed the holograms for the sentient ships.  Given his powerful predictive proclivities, perhaps he made Excelsior look like Reona deliberately, even though he technically hadn’t met her yet.  Maybe she was already the “girl of his dreams”, so to speak …
