Oh, poop. Not again. In Reona’s defense, the last time she took a swing at Naveed, it went better for her.

Now, three things!

If you ever made a LOLZAP, I’m trying to collect them all into a gallery. Please see here for details.

Also, I collected all the ZAPMV’s! If I missed yours let me know. Both the ZAPMV’s and the LOLZAPS are located under the ART tab in the main nav. Feel free to make some of your own, guys! I heart them major.

And then, finally,  some arty thing:

    criticism deconstruction, here goes:
Naveed detecting Reona attacking: uh, giant freaking ears + metal deck = nuff said
speed of attack: ever hear the term “cat like reflexes”?
swordy swordy: katanas are designed to cut, broadswords are designed to crush. yes they have an edge, but that's because it makes it easier to put a dent in plate metal, historically broadswords were never kept very sharp because they'd dull so quickly in an actual battle… you want sharp, stick with a rapier or saber
lack of fighting prowess: tell you what, I'll hand you my M-4 and throw you out in Afghanistan wrapped in an American flag… never been trained with one of those before you say? don't know how to take the safety off? oh well, I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually, hope you survive until then

    *end rant*

Are you going to make the red head into a megaman, one limb at a time?

If so… that would be awesome. At least then the red head may actually grow as a character.

  • Huh. Funny, I would think learning to cope with the loss/betrayal of Efrem, plus developing a more healthy relationship with Zap, plus weathering the strain on the relationship caused by his capture and their separation, plus learning self-confidence from some plucky pirates … yeah, all these things count as “growing as a character” where I come from. No cybernetics required.

    Go figure.

Uh, your username wouldn't happen to have anything to do with Emergency Exit would it?

  • Strike_Reyhi

    nice try though, mail.

    I give it a 3 out of 5.

  • minibit

I've always thought of Reona's as more of a Samus Aran homage, but in this isntance I totally agree xD

  • Trigger

That is so becoming a lolzap.

  • Infinitetrigger

I think he meant “become interesting,” which, while different from character development, is much more important.

  • Marduk

And didn’t she just fire it two times in a row? I think it’s perfectly reasonable she can’t shoot one off now. Energy aint free.

  • Negatron

I suppose a good reason for Naveed having superhuman speed, strength and senses would be that… she ISN’T HUMAN. I mean, are you people blind or something!?

  • Negatron

I will call all nay-sayers P for… “If you don’t like it then don’t read it and spare us your whining”

  • Negatron

…and you are wrong my friend, since even the shorter wakizashi is considered a sword. Basically, anything with a blade of over one shaku (~a foot) is considered a sword, while weapons with blades of two shaku or over (like the katana) are called daito (where dai=big and to=sword) in other words, a long sword.

  • And your explanation for the cut leaving a weird pattern in the stub despite apparently being a mostly clean cut through contiguous metal?

By the angle the sword is being held at, I assume it was more of a circular stab / thrust motion rather than a classic slice. i.e. more Tip-first, rather than base-to-tip. Very bizarre. I presume it was done for rending power, but controlling it like that would be tough.

I’m presuming that this sword is better than the previous one for cutting robotic arms, despite the previous one being Naveed’s “favourite” for some reason.
Also… Naveed seems to be a southpaw.
(Damn that was such a good cat-pun I feel like posting it twice!)

  • … of the Duck!
