10,000 hits … an order of magnitude past the previous landmark, and probably hundreds of orders of magnitude short of the current hit count …

You do realise, that only five more orders of magnitude gives you a billion, and the entirety of the human population is seven billion, right?
As much as I like this comic (and I do; I basically re-read it every month or so), I still doubt the entire mankind visits it on a regular basis.

Okay, perhaps I exaggerated a bit. But the HIT COUNT probably is on the order of billions by now. After all, most of us hit the page at least once a week, and sometimes several times a day.

I’ll tell you what: just for you, I’ll edit my previous post so it says “several” instead of “hundreds”.
